Chicken Ramen

I’ve not been very well over the past couple of days, I’ve had an upset stomch since Wednesday. I’ve been living on soup and fancied something a little more substantial today. I found some ramen noodles in the cupboard, chicken and the fridge and came up with this.

Chicken Ramen

Chicken Ramen

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Packet Ramen noodles (120g)
  • 1 Boneless chicken breast
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Clove garlic (finely chopped)
  • 1 Cup shredded greens
  • 2 Spring onions (sliced finely)
  • 2 Tbsp Light soy
  • Few drops Sesame oil

PREPARATION

  1. Bring the water to the boil, add the chicken, garlic, greens and ramen to the pot.
  2. Return the noodles to the boil, reduce the heat and allow to simmer for 7-10 mins
  3. Add the spring onions, soy sauce, sesame oil and egg to the pot
  4. Stir thoroughly and ensure that the remaining stock cooks the egg completely

  1. Hello, another little Ramen trick is to add from your left over pot roast the night before, some meat, carrotts, onion and potatoes. Be sure to add to “creamy chicken” flavored Ramen, dosen’t sound particularly good, but it is delicious.

  2. Just a question. Is the chicken cooked pre adding to the water or when you boil it?
