Well, we got back from Scotland last night and I must admit I’m exhausted. Heathrow airport was a complete nightmare on the way over on Wednesday due to the bank holiday weekend (I’ve never seen so many people!! When Kate and Co arrived on Thursday the x-ray and security area had a 2 hour delay!!) but thankfully yesterday it was pretty clear so no real delays.
We had a pretty full itinery when we were back, it’s always the same. We always try to cram as much as possible into a few short days and then need about a week to recover!
The wedding was fabulous, so intimate with a real personal touch. All of the guests got on really well and a wonderful time was had by all. The scenery was breathtaking, it was just a pity about the weather. When we got to the highlands on Thursday we had glorious sunshine unfortunately it rained all day Friday and was still raining when we left on Saturday morning.
I’m in the process of sorting out my photographs but I will post some here later today showing the beautiful scenery of Pitlochry.
I will also be trying out another new recipe. I’m not sure whether it will be another one from my Wagamama book or something from my newest cookbook!

At long last I managed to get my hands on a full copy of “Two Cooks and a Suitcase” by Douglas Bell and Rhona Robertson. Regular readers will know that I had an excerpt from this book known under the name “Hot as Hell” but finally I sourced a copy of the full book. Douglas and Rhona are the owners of the hugely sucessful and highly recommended Lupe Pinto’s deli with branches in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Check back later today to see what I’m cooking!
