We’re still firmly in the grip of the heatwave which has completely engulfed Europe for the past couple of weeks. I didn’t sleep very well last night and so I wanted something quick and tasty for dinner tonight and burgers fit the bill perfectly!

Oh gosh. I hear you about the heat wave. It’s scorching over here in the Lorraine region of France, too. Yet I am thankful that I am not in Baghdad. It’s supposed to reach the 50s this week. Eeek!
I’m not much for burgers but you certainly caught my fiancé’s attention with your burger picture.
50°C!!! I can’t even contemplate those sorts of temperatures.
It’s not just the heat which is bad here in Basel but the humiditiy is always very high, it’s that which really takes it’s toll.
Is it very humid in Lorraine? It’s not very far from us here.
Your hamburger looks terrific! We’ve been having a heatwave, too.
Paz
oo that looks delicious but i cant imagine cooking much in this heat…do you think it will be as bad as it was in 2003? i already know there are so many people dying but it doesnt seem to be stopping any time soon!! it was even 42 last week ahhhh!
mmmm… i wonder how these would taste made with my new obsession, bison meat….
i think it’s time to go grab some lunch
Thanks Paz – I think we are witnessing the result of global warming in action.
Catesa – I really hope that it doesn’t get as bad as 2003 I really couldn’t cope, the humiditiy here is already making it impossible to sleep here at night.
Ann – what an interesting idea, I don’t see any reason why the burgers wouldn’t work well. Hope you had a nice lunch.
I figure, Pamela, that it’s a dry heat but it permeates every nook and cranny of the house i’m staying in. Bleaack! Thank God my F-i-L has a small AC unit that my fiancé and I have been using in our bedroom. It makes life tolerable.
The heat is pretty bad huh? It’s hot here too, although it doesn’t sound like we are quite as hot as you. That burger is gorgeous!
Gosh, your burger looks fingerlickin’!!! That reminds me that I have to make hamburgers very soon!…
