Well the day I’ve been waiting for has finally arrived my Aunt Mae, my cousin Julie, Robyn and Jenna finally fly in to Basel today and the weather is due to be glorious for the whole week they are here. It took them much longer to drive from Glasgow to Liverpool than anticipated as the roads were really busy.

Stewart and I were busy making final preparations yesterday getting the bedrooms organized and I’m so happy with how things are looking I couldn’t help but share a couple of snaps with you.

This is the spare room where we’ll be staying for the next week and the top photo is our room.

This will be Robyn’s room for the next week, I thought being 9 (v.soon) she would appreciate the privacy of having her own room.

My cousin and I are really close. I am exactly 1 year and 1 day older than her and so growing up we had lots of joint birthday celebrations .

This is a snap taken on my second birthday and Julie’s first birthday the only change now is that Julie is taller than me (and she has much more hair now!).

Julie will be back over in October with her husband Steven for their 30th birthdays and we’re going to see George Michael in Zürich!

I have a pretty full itinery planned for this week. Robyn wants to visit the zoo after I told her about the wolves there. We’ll go swimming and visit the country park, go to the Dreiländereck and a visit to Europa Park will be great (for them and us!). Poor Stewart is working all week but as I said before I’m on holiday so I can really enjoy myself with them!!

This weeks meals will be fast and simple so I think a few favourites which have already made an appearance here like tandoori chicken or chicken tikka will be featuring.
