Last week I was in Manor (one of our local department stores which has a really nice food section) and I saw a new style spice rack sporting all sorts of goodies, one of which was named barbecue masala and it claimed to be pretty spicy. The ingredients of this barbecue masala consisted of chillies, mustard seeds, fenugreek, cumin, black pepper, mango powder, asafoetida, sesame seeds and salt. I couldn’t resist giving it a try so I bought it and it has lain dormant in my kitchen cupboard ever since.
Check back tomorrow to see what I concocted using this barbecue masala.
Can’t wait
Yes, Manor has a great food section and their spices (made in India) are good!
Let’s see what you will have concocted…
Oooh! I remember Manor! Can’t wait to see what you cook up…the spice mix sounds so yummy

Hi Pamela –
Congrats on your pregnancy! I just read the post. I look forward to reading your back archives and hopefully one day meeting up with all of the Swiss bloggers. I have just held my first foodie themed dinner this past weekend and hope they become regular installments. If/when you feel up to some travel and good food feel free to let me know. We’ll squish another chair into my ‘cozy’ kitchen
cheers
