I had the most wonderful surprise this morning!! My Blogging By Mail package arrived all the way from Singapore!!!
I love Singapore, I’ve been lucky enough to visit there very briefly on my way through to Thailand a few years ago and both Stewart and I would love to go back.
Thank you so much to Mariya over at The Food Whore Next-Door for my package of goodies!!
Here is what I found inside..
- Singapore Chicken Curry spice paste – I love curry and can’t wait to try this out!
- Rendang Paste – Mariya says that Rendang is a Malay dish usually served on special occasions such as weddings and feasts. Although I don’t like fresh coconut I ADORE coconut milk so this will be right up my street.
- Fried Rice Paste – As Mariya says Fried Rice/Nasi Goreng in Malay, Mariya says that this works best with cold leftover rice.
- Sweet Palm Seeds – These are one of Mariya’s favourite preserved fruits, best eaten cold. Mariya suggests dunking the seeds into a glass of ice cold milk and then whilst chewing on the seeds to take a large gulp of milk.
- Mango Jelly Powder – A quick dessert which Mariya uses when she doesn’t feel like baking.
- Cadbury Chocfuls – These are one of Mariya’s favourite candies. I haven’t had any Cadbury chocolates in a long time. These were eaten very very quickly!! I thought they looked like eclairs but they are actually like Werthers Originals hard caramels filled with Cadbury chocolates – delicious!!
Thank you once more to Mariya for a great package!!!
