Food Destinations 2 – My Local Greenmarket!!

When Maki at I Was Just Really Very Hungry decided to make her Food Destinations a regular event I was really happy as the first round was such a success!! ‘My Local Green market’ – the theme for round 2 made me even happier since it meant that I could share with you my dear readers our local market in Basel.

Basel market is held daily Monday-Saturday at Marktplatz (Market Place) and it is busting full of fresh local ingredients and specialties. Simply put, it’s wonderful.

Without further ado here are my photos of our incredible market here in Basel.. Many thanks to Maki for inspiring me to share it with all of you.

  1. Rosa – we definately must visit Geneva soon!

Eva – You must be excited about the move. I’m sure you’ll love living in Basel as much as we do!

  2. Ouah what a lucky you, still finding plenty of rasperries…
Well one hour to go to your market is too much, but I could go to Neuchatel one, but I hate downtown and only go when forced! I compromise between downtown and berries… we’ll see.

  3. Texmex – The berries at the Basel market are still juicy and plentiful. I talk from personal experience, the strawberries are incredible!!
