Stewart had a real hankering for pizza the other night and so picked up the various bits and pieces we needed. Since we were watching the footie last night there was no chance to have pizzas so we decided that tonight was the night.
These pizzas aren’t completely home made but show that with the right shop bought items a fantastic, quick and easy dinner can be put together and on the table in less than 20 minutes!
Here is what we did for our *cough* ‘Home made pizzas’.
QUICK AND EAZY PIZZA
INGREDIENTS
- 250g Good quality store bought pizza dough (ready rolled or not)
- ~6 Tbsp Fresh tomato sauce/pizza base sauce
- 75g Buffalo Mozarella
- 100g Pizza cheese/grated mozzarella
- Sliced Nostrano Salami
- Sliced Red pepper
- Sliced Fresh green chilli
- Sliced Red onion
- or whatever pizza toppings you desire
PREPARATION
- Roll out the pizza dough until it is about 4mm thick.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C.
- Spoon the tomato sauce liberally over the pizza base, not too much otherwise the pizza will end up soggy!
- Sprinkle over the grated cheese followed by your favourite pizza toppings.
- Place on a well floured non stick oven tray and bake for 10-15 minutes until the base is crisp and the cheese is bubbling on top.
- Twist over some freshly milled black pepper and serve whilst hot!

Looks fantastic! With a bub now on the way I’m guessing that your schedule is crazily hectic, but if you have a spare arvo, you can make your own pizza bases and if you parbake and freeze them, you can have them on hand whenever you don’t feel like cooking
