I have a rather shameful confession..
I have been the owner of a slow cooker for more years than I care to remember. Unfortunately since we moved to Switzerland it has sat dormant, rather neglected and unloved in our loft. With the baby on the way we have been clearing out (when I say we I mean Stewart) and this led to the rediscovery of our slow cooker.
I must admit to being a complete novice at this and since I have lost the instructions I’m just planning on winging it. I mean how difficult can this be.. surely the whole idea is that you chuck everything in and allow it to cook slowly and undisturbed all day and then voila dinner is made!! Or that is what I’m hoping! Fingers crossed the reality reflects my ideal..
You all know how I love to try and create meals from leftovers and this recipe was created by doing exactly that! I looked into the fridge and grabbed a handful of veggies and some chicken which needed used and this is what happened..

Ohh, I know what you mean, I got a crockpot last year as a Christmas gift, and must confess that I’ve used it only ONCE since! Shameful, I know. But now thanks to you, I can play with it again!

You know, I’m like you. I hadn’t used my crockpot in ages until I had to work Thanksgiving and then I put a turkey breast in it and it came out great. My husband loved it and it made for great sandwiches, very moist. Your chicken and pasta looks fabulouos. I think it’s one of those things that you can do well or you can do lousy and the key is the “you” part. You know what I mean? Depends on what ingredients you choose. I’m going to start working full time soon and I’ll be relying on it more. With you guys and a new baby, this could be a great option for you. By the way, love the new design of your site!

Meena - I’ll be checking your site to see what wonderful dishes you come up with for yours
Sara - I really want to try and do more in my crock pot. I have lots of meat in the freezer so I think I’ll be trying my hand at some of my older recipes revamped for the slow cooker.
Glenna - I’ll be trawling the web for inspiration so watch this space.
